Caring for your handmade item:
Threads by Elan takes pride in choosing high quality yarn to produce quality products. It is also in our best interest to assist our customers in preserving their unique and handmade items, which is why we provide our best recommendations/suggestions on how to take care of your pieces (see below).
Please know that ALL items (with the exception of our hairbows) can stretch and lose it's shape from normal/consistent everyday wear but can be returned to original/similar size by simply hand-washing and drying it.
Washing:
- Hand-wash or machine washable (Highly recommended):
Drying:
- Air Dry (Recommended):
- Machine:
Low cycle setting (Delicate - preferred).

- Gently soak or lightly hand-wash your item in COLD water with mild detergent, or
- Machine wash in COLD water
Drying:
- Air Dry (Recommended):
- Remove excess water by gently squeezing item
- Lay on a flat surface until dry
- Machine:
Low cycle setting (Delicate - preferred).
- If you want your item to go back to original structure/form, or
- If you prefer a little more shrinkage.
